In Q4 2015 Av-Comm and Video on Demand were awarded an exclusive multi-year contract to provide in-room entertainment solutions for Iglu’s growing number of student accommodation facilities. The contract sees Av-Comm and Video on Demand partner to provide one of the most advanced and innovative IP based in-room entertainment systems currently available in the market. The system offers:
- Local terrestrial free to air television channels
- International television channel via C Band satellite reception
- Video on demand blockbuster movies
- Foxtel integration
- Integrated in-room LG Procentric IPTVs
- Mobile streaming to student devices including tablets and laptops
- Touchscreen digital signage
- Ubiquitous wireless internet access
- 24/7 help desk and ongoing support for residents
The contract sees Av-Comm and Video on Demand retrofit Iglu’s existing Sydney based properties located at Central and Chatswood and install a greenfield system at Iglu’s latest site in Mary Street, Brisbane. The systems will be installed and commissioned at each of the sites before the 2016 school year begins ensuring Iglu’s 2016 student in-take have access to the best in-room entertainment system available in the market.
