In November 2014 iStream Studios partnered with Av Comm to provide live streaming of President Modi’s Australia address via Youtube. Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to a crowd of over 20,000 people at Sydney’s Homebush Olympic Stadium. Mr Modi was the first Indian leader in 28 years to visit Australia and his visit provide to be extremely popular with Indian men and women travelling from all over the country to hear his address.
The event was uplink from Sydney’s Homebush Olympic Stadium by Astralinks and was broadcast on Asiasat 5 (C Band) and Optus D2 (Ku band). The signal was then downlinked at Av-Comm’s Brookvale Teleport and fed into iStream’s servers where the streams were split into dedicated language streams, one stream contained an english translation and the other Hini.
The streams were then processed and provided via Youtube’s Live streaming portal where thousands of people from around the world tuned in to watch Mr Modi’s address.
