Av-Comm’s Kymeta U8 and SatCube satellite systems showcased at Drill 2022

19 May 2022

This week the Av-Comm team attended the Drill 2022 mining, drilling and exploration trade show in Adelaide to showcase the Kymeta U8 and SatCube satellite systems.

Drilling and exploration are typically done in remote locations with no mobile or internet coverage. Our Kymeta and Satcube systems that were on display are devices which provide portable and simple to use internet terminals for drilling crews. Prior to technology like Kymeta U8 and SatCube, data from drilling and exploration missions would take weeks or even months to be received. With these systems in place, drillers can stay in touch with their loved ones, co-workers, and importantly receive critical drilling information and data in real time to make more timely decisions.

After a two-year hiatus between shows, Australia’s drilling industry was certainly excited to come together once again.
